Awards:

Roberto Diéguez Galvão Award

SOBRAPO offers an award of U$S 1,000.00 for the authors of the best paper presented in the symposium.

Undergraduate Reports (PIC)

SOBRAPO will once again grant a prize to the best Scientific Initiation work reported by students following undergraduate studies at Brazilian universities during 2011. The candidates should submit a report with no more than 8 pages. The format is the same as that of full papers and the names of the advisers should come together with the author names and institutions. The contribution of each student to the research must be clearly detailed.

Thematic Project Competition (CPT)

The CLAIO/SBPO 2012 Organizing Committee has decided to award a prize to the winner of the thematic project competition on Operations Research in major sports events, main theme of the joint conferences. Each project must be proposed by a PhD faculty member affiliated to a Latin-Iberoamerican University and at least two young researchers.

The competition will have two phases: the top five projects will be selected during the CLAIO/SBPO 2012 and awarded R$ 1.000,00 (one thousand Brazilian reais) as seed money. Those five selected projects will be developed before the next edition of the XLV SBPO in 2013, when the winner project will be announced.
